myth drannor:
backstory
Aeryn is a tall, lithe woman, slight of frame. She is a High Elf, with long tapered ears that peek out from her hair. They are not pierced. She is extraordinarily pale. She has long, thick silver-white hair, with braids running through it in order to tame it into something resembling elegance while she is on the road. Her eyes are also an odd silver-white color. She almost never smiles and typically looks as if she does not want to be wherever she is. When she is able to stop at a city, she finds makeup and other such accoutrements to accentuate her features, and to make herself look a little less deathly pale. It is mostly a success.
She wears leather boots, no armor, and her clothes are all long-sleeved and modest. She wears a collar that goes up her neck and sleeves right down to her wrists. She also wears a cloak, draped loosely around her shoulders. She wears mostly blues, silvers, and greys, with splashes of cream in her cloak. She carries a quarterstaff, a Bag of Holding that looks a little oddly stitched, and a silver locket with the crest of her family that she never removes, which lies underneath her clothes.
Aeryn has silver dragon scales that run along most of her body. They entirely cover her arms, shoulders, and neck, and stretch across her torso down to her legs. She does not show them in public, nor does she acknowledge them unless she has to. She wears her hair down for the majority of the time in order to cover the back of her neck, when she is not wearing a high-collared shirt. She hates them (but is slowly, but surely, learning to accept them).
myth drannor:
Aeryn is a citizen of Myth Drannor, an ancient Elvish city.>
Myth Drannor is an Elvish city, located in the heart of an ancient forest. It is isolationist, in design. There are very few non-Elves in Myth Drannor, and the city is difficult to find unless you already know where it is. No one is allowed inside the gates without permission from the highest families, and no one is allowed into the Upper City without permission of Lynor Terra, the Head of the High Council.
As a result, many of the High Elves that live within Myth Drannor tend to be skeptical of those with mixed blood or non-Elves. They consider themselves superior -- in knowledge, in culture, in religion. The main religion of choice, in Myth Drannor, seems to be the Moonweaver, but other religions are welcome. The children of Myth Drannor are taught within the city, ranging from combat to magic to language to art. There are few non-taught magicians in Myth Drannor, and many of them come from outside of the city itself. Few Elves leave Myth Drannor for long periods of time, but those that do are considered diplomats of the highest regard. Lynor Terra leaves when necessary, to share stories, and commune with other Elves in Faerun.
backstory
The Terra family consists of five individuals.
Lynor Terra, the head of the High Council of Myth Drannor.
Graen Terra, Lynor's wife and high socialite of Myth Drannor.
Zelan Terra, second daughter of Lynor and Graen, a quiet child that is studious and excellent with the bow.
Miren Terra, the youngest daughter of Lynor and Graen, a bright child, full of laughter and joy, and eager to please.
All members of the Terra family have dark, raven hair and dark eyes. They have striking features, and none were born with magic. Any gifts bestowed upon the Terra family are not of arcane nature, but rather the divine; Graen, devout to the Moonweaver, and Miren, beginning to develop her own blessed gifts.
And then there is Aeryn.
Aeryn is the oldest of the three daughters, the presumed heir to the political force that is the Terra family. Unlike the rest of her family, though, Aeryn was born with a shock of silver-white hair and peculiar markings along her body. The scandal was immense; many assumed that Aeryn was not Lynor's by birthright, and the fracture was felt in the family unit. Aeryn doubts that her parents ever truly mended the broken trust, but as Aeryn grew older, it quickly became apparent that the heir to Myth Drannor was a little . . . different.
